The Origin of the Shinigami from "Death Note"

The Whole Interhuman Theoretical Story

In the beginning of time, the Izanagi (Gods of Life) were the ones responsible for the existence of human life. They were able to create by first writing down names and/or stories and notebooks called "Life Notes." As time passed by, humans began to think for themselves and make their own choices as the Izanagi continued their means of existence by filling out their Life Notes.

However, this all began to change and fall as humans started to create their own meanings of life and rejected the needs of gods. This eventually led humans to a disbelief about whether there is any god. Therefore, the Izanagi began to fade, as disbelief is a way to kill a god. This has also caused the humans to not be able to see the gods. Although when this happens, whatever has existed since the Izanagi would die with them. As these gods are dying with no redemption, they became mortal nearly as much as the human beings, and their only way to keep themselves alive is by killing off humans; thus, getting back the life that humans have taken for granted--stolen from them.

In this case, the gods became Shinigami (Gods of Death), and their notebooks became "Death Notes." With those notebooks, they can take away life just by writing the names down that have been written in life and those from henceforth. This is how death had begun in life. At that point, instead of meaning of life, there was only a meaning of death.

When death happened, humans began to find ways to live longer lives by setting some laws, boundaries, and social norms whether they think it is scientifically possible or believe that their has to be some sort of god or gods. The Shinigami allowed this to happen since they can only take so many lives, and they need as many humans as possible for them to live. Therefore, Shinigami and mortals would basically be even. Nonetheless, rules mean nothing to those gods. Whether a human is good or bad, they have nothing to be redeemed to or condemned from as "there is no heaven or hell." As a matter of fact, the Shinigami were eventually going to fade to nothing, which is the place called "MU," and so would the humans that were originally created by the gods. Even so, because all the human rules were only made to try and keep themselves from death, they were destined to die anyway because of taking the gods in vain; thereby, "death is equal" whether a human was good amongst their own kind or not.

On a contrary, there were some ways in order to see a Shinigami is to touch a Death Note or even a piece of it. The reason humans could see a Death Note but not the Shinigami is that the notebooks are what link between the gods and the mortals as they are the source of human's deaths and the Shinigami tool. When a human takes hold of the Death Note, they now hold possession of it and may serve as a host of the Shinigami that owned it until the human dies or rejects the ownership of the notebook. When this happens, they not only deny the Death Note, but also the god. This would have the human go back to the way humans were when they defied the existence of the life gods.

As far as ownership of the Death Note goes, seeing the truth of a god could be the end of the human's life. In this case, things can be a little more interesting for the Shinigami by making deals with him or her. The mortal can become a real host for the god and use a certain power called the "Shinigami Eyes," in which they can see people's names and lifespans at the cost of the host's remaining lifespan. The cause is since the Eyes are half in quality of the most important powers of the Shinigami, half of the host's life would now have to belong to the Shinigami until the host dies and leaves the rest of it for the Shinigami. The reason knowledge of the truth would be the end of human anyway is that they would practically be guilty of murder in which someone may find out sooner or later. Otherwise, as criminology studies, that killers often wish to be dead themselves at some time. Yet, because humans are guilty for death anyway, death is the only redemption for realization that there are gods.

Regarding the Shinigami Eyes, there may be more hosts to other Shinigami. What they can't see is lifespan of other hosts because what they are technically seeing is a Shinigami that has no lifespan as Shinigami can't see lifespans of each other. Still Shinigami can still see their lifespans because they are still not gods and still mere humans that would die at some point. Moreover, as far as the remaining lifespan rule, even if the hosts declines ownership of the Death Note and forgets everything about it, they have still used the benefits of the god that they should have never been seen or death would be among them. With that, the cost is not returnable.

Also, with the job of the Shinigami to kill off humans, they are not allowed to save a human's life. They can do that writing down someone's death that was not meant to be before another person's death that they were responsible for. That is like denying the death that was written or to be written in the notes. Because humans were to die for the sin of disbelieving in the gods, it would be wrong to try to redeem the human's life. Therefore, the only redemption of even the gods would be death, in which they would crumple up into nothing if they save a human's life. This is also how humans gain lifespan from the Shinigami.

After all of that, in the end, the Shinigami and all that has existed are bound to fade away but do not as long as humans still exist and the Shinigami take the responsibility of taking away the life the humans didn't deserve. This is how the Shinigami from Death Note existed.

Message from the Author of this Report

The reason I wrote this because I wanted to make sense of the existence of the gods of death in the story of Death Note. My question was, "how could human life by exist itself while there are gods only for death?" Another one would be about where humans actually came from in that story. I also wanted to show that there was a meaning of life, or the only thing that tale has shown was the meaning of death. Otherwise, the whole story would be an oxymoron. This is coming from someone who believes that there is a God, and you can't kill Him literally or metaphorically by denying His existence. That is like saying that we are better than the God who created us. We are only hurting ourselves when we do that.

Young Adults Summer Camp

The Event

Earlier, there was a week-long summer camp for the college-age students of a single community from different universities. Within that area, there is a beach, a trail, and various areas that can meet anyone's needs for relaxation. People can play sports outdoors and indoors (they have an indoor gym somewhere). Even so, they have an archery range, a golf course, disc golf baskets, and a hayride opportunity. Otherwise, people may just sit around and relax outside. For more indoors, people can play card games or board games--anything that satisfies them out there. Nonetheless, it was nearly impossible to gain wireless reception in any definition. For some people, it would be a nice place for someone to just hang around with a variety of students for a week as well as staying "disconnected." 

The Interhuman Side of the Story

If we look into what people mostly do in this summer event, we find some of the most unique things young folks could do in an place like that. When some people look around, there is actually a children's playground nearby. Some may do some of the most child-like but to-be respected activities. Others may want to just remain "grown up" and not get so hyper, but that doesn't mean this would be no place for those people.
We could see that some of the college students playing in the playground while they have the chance. If there happened to be some children around, they would, of course, let them play in it. Sometimes, young men can be found playing in a wheel swing tied to a tree. Moreover, the students may be caught on plain site pillow fighting even though they would stop while they are being filmed.
During a rainy day, some can be found indoors do things like people often do while they can't play in the rain. However, there are also those that may go out in the lake during that time. What people can also do inventively is sit on some of the most interesting areas like the roof of a cabin and a tree fallen beside the lake.
What's more is that some of the students can still be as segregated as they were in the first place from playing games to standing in line. Some of the young campers can be found playing with Frisbees or balls within their own campus community. When it's close to meal time, some can be found doing other things besides waiting in line possibly for the purpose of going in as a group.
One problem some people may face that it is absolute public if people didn't fear that in their younger years already. Everywhere people go, there is always someone nearby, and it is hard for anyone to spend time anywhere in private. If others allow them to express themselves freely, they may be able to last that long in public.
Lastly, as young as they are, most may tend not to see anything yet as they first come. People may not find a game room with ping-pong or Foosball. They may not even see areas that may seem to be under construction. There may even be areas that have shown that they have entered the wrong area. Also, since they are young, they may still be the non-morning kind of people that either need to stay up really late or require 9-10 hours of sleep.

The Discussion

First off, this event shows that people don't really need electronic media to satisfy their whole day as a lot of people strive to convince. Likewise, the young adults can still act like themselves when they are out in a forest. People may not even see that these young adults can still be as child-like as grownups would claim. Though what is good about being young is that these people can do something innovative to make their days. Despite that, they are still generous towards children as they come. Regardless of all of these, summer camps tend to aim for children, but not this time.

For the Young Adults

Again, you don't need technology to enjoy yourselves out of the country. There is always something you can do to keep yourselves active. Furthermore, the reason people make these some camps is to socialize with your own community, and the people within them are supposed to help you fit in.

Young Adults Get Together

The Event

There was one time when a group of college-age groups get together before the end of a semester. This event took place at nice older gentleman's house where he has a wife and two kids. A little playground was there also. The party involved playing with Frisbees, playing catch, football, dodge ball, and various sports even when it took playing with the little boys there. Of course, there was some food, but no drugs or alcohol were involved. Even in the meantime, some of them can just hang around and talk.

The Interhuman Side of the Story

As we look deeply with what has been happening, these young adults have actually been acting young even in front of the children. This involved them playing in that little playground available from going up that tower with a slide to hanging in that little house. Some of them can be found playing with on the road, which some neighborhoods should try more often. Moreover, some of them were chalking on the driveway. Even with all of the things these young adults have done, the children there have been playing with them also. On a side note, not even most of the vegetables were eaten as the food was provided even among the adults.
The majority of the guys there were mostly doing the active sports. They could be seen trying something innovative for particle games especially from trying new moves. Other times, they may fuss just for the fun of it. Only a small portion of them dared to play inside the little house as well as other parts of the little playground. The guys were also at least friendly and open to playing with the little boys maybe as if they were thought to still be kids only much taller.
For the girls there, they were the first ones to play in the little playground. Even so, they were the first to start chalking on the driveway. Nevertheless, even they were open to playing various sports even if it takes playing with the guys from football to dodge ball. They could have also been seen playing with the kids. the girls could either play chase with the little boys or against each other.
Regarding the two boys there, they have actually been open for playing with the young adults there. It may have seemed to them that those people were still young. They were just either played with or let win. It seemed that as long as people are active towards them nicely, the children would respect them.

The Discussion

Based on this event, it seemed the the college-age students could still act as they did in high school. Some may say that among each other, they could still see each other as they did when they were young teenagers. However, if people think about it, growing up does not mean not having this much fun anymore. In addition, the kinds of people that may seem "too old" for this stuff would not be too good with kids either. People may not even be too old for playgrounds or chalk either. If people think about, the worst case scenario would be the young adults not at all acting like they are grown up or acting all selfish or overly egoistic. Even so, some of them may still be picky on a few things like food. The guys there would still be as active as they might have been back then for these activities, and even some of them would dare to do something not so "manly." The girls themselves could even be more open using the things mainly children would use as they would be open for playing the sports. Because of how active the two little boys there towards the young adults, this proves that they are still young yet. Lastly, since no alcohol was involved, this proves that people may just need each other to have a good time.

For the Young Adults

Have you felt at one point after you finish high school that you had to give up a lot things? Did you think you couldn't play games anymore? Has all that changed since you started going to college? For a rule of thumb, you could assume that you need some time to get busy on a few things, but you shouldn't doubt about "having fun." One thing you should do is continue being friendly even among the children. If kids want to play with you, feel proud of yourself. If you ever had a rough time, always put aside a time to hang out with friends and do something together. In theory, there are no such games people are way too old for, and you can ruin the fun is by not admitting your own age or just by creeping in things.

For the Older Teenagers

This even proves that you will still be young even in your early twenties. Do not assume that you will never have fun again when you look forward for a future career. The young adults can even still be friends with you as long as they respect you. You should probably study what the college-age people do.

Women's Appreciation and What's Beyond

The Event

Previously, there was a special event involving young men serving young women and running activities for them. This time, it was not a high quality and "perfect," but by thought of it, it was considered best for what ordinary men can do.
This took place out in a park, and an area was set up with blankets to make the ladies comfortable. Finely made and sweet food for them, Frisbees to play with, a playground nearby, and most importantly a good dog from one of the fine gentlemen. No negative complaints regarding the area or the set up.

The Interhuman Side of the Story

As we look deeply within the interactions of the people, we find those young ones act uniquely if not beyond what humans talk about.
Of course, the women were making themselves relaxed for one thing since they were outside. In fact, they were laying themselves down in strange ways going from resting on each other's bodies to snuggling themselves up in a blanket. Others just sit calmly as they talk with each other. Even the dog can be the center of attention.
For the men, some of them were using the leisure time doing some challenging things even when it comes to doing something they may be too old to do at first like swinging while trying to catch a Frisbee. Sometimes, they may just lay to rest during that event after all the hard work they have been through.

The Discussion

The moral of the Interhuman story is that girls still act like girls no matter where they are as much as boys still act like boys. Moreover, people can still enjoy themselves in any way from finding a place to rest to finding someone or something to cuddle with. Furthermore, men can do weird things as they serve the women.
What was really important was that this was meant for the women to be appreciated by the men within the community.

For the Women

No matter what you do even you act pretty similar to men or anything odd for yourselves, you have always done good for us men, and we respect you. Even so, there may be some ways you are different from us, but without you, we would be incomplete. It was just our time of day to remember you and your time of day to rest after all your work. Thank you, women.
